Release Oil is ideally suited for pre-spraying of haul trucks. Engineered spceially for asphalt, sand, gravel, clay, loam, peat moss and other aggregates. Base fluid is highly resistant to oxidation and will help provide corrosion protection for components operating in contaminated environments. Release Oil is an exceptionally pure fluid with a similar chemistry to synthetic polyalpha-oelfin(PAO) base oils which gives it extreme winter flow characteristics.
Release oil requires varying applications depending on the form that it is applied to (ie concrete forms, haul trucks, pins, hinges etc) and the material being hauled.
As each applicant can affect the overall results adjustments to the general guidelines for application may be required.
For aluminum/steel and metallic forms generally use thin layers of release oil (1-2 coats) for maximum performance. For wood, stone, rubber belts or other pourous forms, several layers may be required.
To release asphalt and concretes - most asphalts (especially those with rubberized content) release easiest with thinner coatings of release oil however testing should be done to obtain the best results for the specific asphalt blend
To release gravel and sand thin layers(1-2 coats) proved the best results.
To release wet clay and heavy aggregates especially mixed clay and oil materials (such as drilling tailings) require thicker coatings (3-5 even coats). Adjusting the coating thickness may be required as results can vary based on the surface makeup and material being released.
